While I certainly don't mind having lots of sex in my books, it needs to be justified sex. As in, it makes sense within the plot and the character context, and isn't just used as filler/crutch to make up for the fact that the book has very little else going for it. If I wanted to be exposed to second rate writers using sex for filler material, I'd watch prime-time TV.

I agree. I got tired of filler sex and no real plot. That's exactly why I started reading other genre's and even non romances.

some of my favorite series I started later turned into exactly that. The first few books had a good plot going but it's like the later books became more and more filler.
