Ah yes. Those. I managed to avoid both 50 Shades and Twilight, and I can definitely see how they might become a little too much in larger doses. Or in minor ones, for that matter.

While I certainly don't mind having lots of sex in my books, it needs to be justified sex. As in, it makes sense within the plot and the character context, and isn't just used as filler/crutch to make up for the fact that the book has very little else going for it. If I wanted to be exposed to second rate writers using sex for filler material, I'd watch prime-time TV.
