My Paypal payment went through, plus my Visa was charged a penny, (4 times, meaning 4 fraud warnings from my bank!) so the trouble I had paying may have something to do with this.
And now when I try to look at the listing for the book in the Kobo store, so I can copy the information to email CS, I get a 404 error. So there may be a problem with their site and/or the book itself. I checked before purchase that it was ePub.
At any rate, I'm moving tomorrow, so my Kobo mystery will have to wait a few days to be solved.

Have you checked the format of the ebook? Could it be a kepub and only sitting on Kobo Desktop?
