If you go the Kindle PW route, I suggest converting to AZW format instead of Mobi with Calibre. I have a Kobo Aura HD and a Kindle Voyage (also have a PW2). I find books converted to AZW format with Calibre to work very well on my Kindles with no loss in formatting. The mobi format is an older format, and as such doesn't support all of the formatting options.

That being said, I think you would be happy with either the H2O of the PW3. Both are great devices. I don't find the margins on the Kobos to be a bother to me. I admit that I'd like to turn the top margin off in kePubs--I don't need to see the name of the book I'm reading on every page. But, it's not that big of an issue--and I like the reading stats that are available with the kePub format.
