You may already know this, but if you use Calibre to sideload your DRM-free books on to your Kindle, you can convert your books within Calibre and embed a font in the book. Then when reading on the Kindle, if you choose "Publisher Font" it will use the embedded font when displaying the book. Of course this only allows one font per book, and you have to have your files DRM'ed first.
