Hello dear forum members
I have been considering the purchase of my first e reader. It will be either Kindle PW3 or Kobo Aura H2O.
However, I have some doubts about both of these models.

1)I read that Kobo unfortunately has some quirk issue connected with margin settings. I mean quite big bars implemented at the top and at the bottom of the page. The first one shows the title of book whereas the other displays number pages. Both of them cannot be resized and they waste too much space. I would say that the advantageous 0,8 ich is completely wasted. I know that there is a setting which removes both bars, but it leaves no info about page numbers at the bottom. I don’t think it’s very comfortable. I would definitely miss info about read pages. I know that there is some patch that enables to customize the bars. Is it the only solution?

2)My other reservation is connected with compatibility of Kindle Paperwhite 3. I have a collection of books in epub. What about necessary conversions into mobi with Calibre? Are all these conversions flawless without any format changes? Will the output mobi ebooks retain all the source epub formatting?

3) Will I have to convert all epubs to Kobo epub format to be able to customize my epubs the way I want?

I will be very grateful for any comment.
