I've done it using WinXP games onto Windows 7 installation, and again using WinXP and Windows 7 games onto Windows 10. And they still all work perfectly on Windows 7 and 10 without doing anything special or downloading any cracked/hacked/modified version of the games. You do need to copy the cards.dll from the WinXP games, and the entire directories of MS Games as I said above, each subdirectory is its own game and includes its own .dll for the Windows 7 games.

There's really nothing special to do at all to get the original games to work, you don't need any modified version.
