That is exactly what happened to the original poster in that Amazon discussion forum thread [link in the first post of this thread].
Poster WD had prime and blocked account.

For now, my 'Touch' continues to function (although not well) and I have the option of downloading books to my desktop PC. I cannot purchase anything, although my understanding is that I still have Prime's digital benefits (free movies and Kindle Lending Library) until my Prime membership expires in early January. And, Amazon is allowing me to post in this forum.
