LED is off no matter what...

Well, I wanted to try my luck with Kobo and ...

I bought a Kobo Touch, seller claiming battery doesn't hold charge. When I plug it in my wall charger, no sign off life, LED is still off. I disassembled it and pulled battery cable off and back on, tried again, connected to wall charger, no dice. Held power button, power button+home, nothing, no sign of life whatsoever.

I was wondering what the issue might be! If we say KT is not dead, I assume even if I disconnect battery cable and just plug it to USB cable onto wall charger, there should be some life going on in it, right?
