Okay, I don't know very much about this sale, yet. But, I know enough to know that it holds potential to get Mobilereaders really good prices on a large number of reference and school-type ebooks, so I'm going to go ahead and tell you what little that I do know.
Collins Publishers, a subsidiary or something like that of HarperCollins Publishers, has marked down in the last 24 hours or so, it seems, a huge number of ebooks. I think that reference and school-type books may be the only thing that they publish. I think that the publisher is oriented, at least, toward the U.K., as opposed to American, English language.
Here's an example of one of Collins' ebooks on sale. It is the
Collins English Dictionary & Thesaurus. The digital list price is $14.99. The print list price is a whopping $79.00. The Kindle ebook is currently $3.99. Oh, I might make mention of the fact that this book is just short of 2000 pages long!
About the only way that I know how to find the markdowns, right now, is to just do a search in the Kindle store for Collins titles. Here is
the link for that search, with the ebooks priced low to high. Then, you might want to select a category from the menu on the left-hand side. The one that I selected to find the example above was "Dictionaries and Thesauruses." Of course, one main shortcoming of this search is that you don't know from it alone how much the ebooks were priced before being marked down.
Now, here's where I ask for the help of other Mobilereaders: if you know of a better way to find these markdowns, please let us know! Thanks.
