Too bad Apple doesn't have an 'annual upgrade' (or at least biennial) plan for purchasing iPads, as they do for iPhone.
I think 4G is worth getting as well. I signed up with T-Mobile's free 256MB/mo plan, and it is nice to have that. I've only run out of data once in the year I've had my iPad Air 2. I use it to download ebooks, get navigation, a little web browsing so it is generally plenty.
