@dancog - I believe the Japanese version of the T3 has some very specific difference to the North American version. For one, I'm assuming you are using the Japanese menu, since no one has found a way to convert those devices to English.
I also seem to recall the reduced number of dictionaries are also specific to that version.
I would have loved to get the higher resolution of the T3, but they are quite hard to come by. I'm glad you're happy with your purchase.
