Hello Friends and the Astonishingly Intimidating Dr Drib (I realise it's an avatar, but it still scares me...)
This may well be the wrong place, in which case I imagine you'll probably stick one of your green removal notices on here, but you've deleted a similarly themed post from my own thread about my own book ANGEL, so I just thought I'd give this a try. Maybe MobileRead doesn't
have a place for this link, which is also fair enough.
In any case: this is not a review site or a blog about writing, but a piece of new writing, in blog format.
It starts from the oft-posed question 'what would you do or say if, about halfway through your life, you were to bump into your younger self'. From there it goes off on many, often wildly and deliberately tangential ponderages and observations, before finally coming to some sort of conclusion. (We will not reach this point for quite a while yet...)
I'm calling it a 'concept narrative in the here & now about the where, the wherefore and forever', and I started it at the beginning of August as a blog, because I didn't want to have to determine what format it was ultimately going to take, and also because it very much
is a work in progress.
It's now in full flow and has just entered its second phase, 'Heart', which deals, not surprisingly, with matters precisely thereof. (Though when I say 'precisely', I should perhaps also put in the caveat that in EDEN by FREI everything is really quite fluid and themes as well as story strands spill over and into each other; and there are at the moment intermittent posts also from the 'Random' as well as the 'and Soul' categories, such as the entirely self-contained, but continuing short story
The Snowflake Collector: it all sounds far more complicated than it is, best is to just have a look and browse, if the idea of meeting your younger self appeals to you; it is, after all, an experiment in publishing.)
You can find it at
http://EDENbyFREI.net and I'm happy to report that the blog (hosted on Wordpress, incidentally) is now completely ad-free and therefore, I hope, all the more enjoyable.
Thanks for reading and I crave your forgiveness if this or any other post or anything I have ever said or done or am likely to say or do in the foreseeable or more distant future breaks any of the many rules one ought to be aware of! I'm just a writer doing a bit of writing, now and then... :-)
