I assume the amber tinted glasses are similar to Gunnar computer glasses. I have two pairs myself, one for at home for gaming, and one for at work. They reduce the amount of blue light, and very very slightly magnify as well.
To be honest, I thought the concept was a bit hokey, but I had some gift certificates at Thinkgeek, so I grabbed these : http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/iisj/
I find that they really help with my eyestrain, especially playing games with a ton of text. (I do have to put up with my coworkers calling me "Bono" though.)
