I had no idea Amazon allows registration using a fake email address but that is useful to know so thank you for that information.

Not at all Josie. I find your posts quite helpful, actually. Perhaps I'm biased because you turned me on to the eBay Swees cases, though. You've also just earned a few brownie points for using the word
derided
.
Regarding registering, it simply does not make sense to me to purchase an
Amazon-branded device from
Amazon.com and then refuse to register it because one has a list of grievances against
Amazon.com. Why support them pecuniarily and then denounce the device because one refuses to follow through with what is in essence the final step of the purchase on "principle"?
Honestly....I cannot wrap my head around that. Perhaps I'm simply an idiot

.
P.S. Use a fake e-mail address (fake name, fake username - random password) to create a throw-away Amazon account if, for reasons beyond my comprehension, you simply refuse to bring yourself to register your device. I've never tried, but I'm certain that Amazon has blocked temporary email services like YOPmail and Mailinator.
Now...something tells me that this really is not the case at all, because that ^^^^^ is a way to circumvent the registering process. Once again, the device most likely has been blacklisted....especially if purchased on eBay or Craigslist. I've had to deal with that a couple of times myself.
