Odd issue. I've have had corrupted lrfs reboot my reader before but that was incidental, not every file. Have you tried a full internal memory format? (settings > advanced settings > format internal memory) obviously this will wipe your reader clean but it has solved some odd issues for me before.

If that doesn't do it, what was the source format, how did you convert, and so on?
