I guess these information will help everybody that has an online subscription for these newspapers and intends on finding a better reading experience other than a phone or pc.
I guess it's easier to read because of the size of the kindle compared to the actual paper newspaper, but I don't actually have a clear understanding of how does a page look like on the kindle screen if you say that "it's unpleasant". I know it's hard to come close to a mobi novel like experience.
If you do not mind, could you please tell me for both files how many columns can you see on the screen when you zoom to max ? Does landscape help in any way ?
Cheers !

In portrait, when I have it zoomed to a level that I can read, I see one full column and part of another. In landscape, I can see two columns side by side...unfortunately, I still had to pan because the columns were longer than the screen in that case, and I couldn't fit the whole column on one screen.
The reason I say it's unpleasant is that I have to pan all around in order to read. Of course, I would never want to read a paper newspaper unless I could lay it all out on a table, anyway. Back when I used to ride public transportation every day I used to marvel at the people reading newspapers and wonder how they did it.
