It is really, really strange since I have not touched that part at all. In fact, that checkbox doesn't do that much really (I know, it sounds strange). The only thing that checkbox does is update the settings in an internal datatable. The datatable is save in a later stage (either with the old or the new settings). Very strange indeed.
The reason I asked if you made the changes directly after starting or after 5 minutes was to exclude some interference with the conversion of the rulesset document. But that is out of the question.
I made some small changes in my current beta that might help. I also extended the logging for that part, so we can perhaps pinpoint the problem. On each of my test computers this words as designed. I tried it on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 with Office 2007 and Office 2013.
I will make the beta available tonight.
