To me, there's still a difference between "the most outstanding work in an ideal direction" and something else that "possesses literary value". But that seems to be a problem with the Nobel Pice in Literature in general.

I've had a look, my library has three Ebooks from Alexievich so far.

Personally I would have prefered Peter Handke.
