I just installed the 3.18 in my new kobo glo and did some patching and hacking to get the KSM and the usbnet. I was surprised thought to find out that doing "cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq" I get 800000. Is it a bit strange? Kobo glo supposed to go up to 1Ghz. Stressing the device by pdf rendering and still the current frequency file showed 800000. Does anybody have an idea why this is the case for me? Has the update to 3.18 changed the linux kernel? I dont see another reason for this to happen besides kobo glo cheating in the cpu or linux false reporting.
thanks for the help and thoughts on that.
