Lots of old friends are back in Ishmael's life, and we have some new characters, but they don't really get much of a chance to flesh out yet. But we know there's at least two more in this arc of the Solar Clipper universe, so I hope and expect to see some more new friends.

I enjoyed this a lot, too. His novels with Pip as a character are much more light-hearted than the others.
A recent thread asking for recommendations on serial novels mentioned Dorothy Dunnet's Lymond books and since I hadn't read then a while, thought about buying them. But Random House has them priced not to sell at $13.99 and 14.99 a novel. My library has them all if I want to go to the bother of arranging to have them available, but I'd much prefer to read them on my Kindle. Alas, those prices are beyond my touch.
