Would depend on someones eyes and preference, wouldn't it? And where someone reads and how much natural light there is. We aren't all the same.
Inside I am pretty much on 11, but I am not next to a window. Just depends.
I just plug it in when I feel like it needs it. I am done being a slave to the battery.
