This is only the second time (IIRC) so our only rule so far has been: "leave it up to the author".

But in his first post, he promised not to let Amazon/Lab126 "slow play" their fix forever.

Amazon has five models now running the 5.6.x series firmware - plus whatever they might be cooking up for the 'fall release' this year. That is a lot of firmware to fix, build, test, Q.A, etc, etc, etc.

A rule of retailing, products intended for the "Holiday Season" need to be on the store shelves by the end of October.
