I might hurt my office mate. He is always coughing (nasal drip issues) and making gnarly noises. He is massively over weight, probably 150 pounds, does not take care of himself physically and produces a series of interesting noises and smells. He is a great guy, very nice, good advice, excellent worker but my noise cancelling headsets cannot block out his various sounds.

There are four other people who share the office. Many former occupants have asked him about the farting, hell people have a can of deodorant that they use regularly. When you ask about the cough it is always post nasal drip, nothing he can do about it. There is groaning from back and hip and leg issues.

I understand that losing weight is not easy but it would take care of a large number of his problems. It is his life and I he needs to do what he needs to do for himself and his family.

I just want the stinky farts, coughing, throat clearing and other such noises to decrease if not just go away.

And then I feel awful for being judgmental.
