I ran into a big issue a couple of days ago. At about midnight my WiFi modem bit the dust. The next morning I tried to hook up my iPhone 6+ as a hotspot to my MacBook Pro. No luck at all. I tried hooking up via WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB cable. My WiFi system has separate modem and router units, so the router was still working, just the modem was out. I had no luck at all. I tried establishing a hotspot with my iPad Mini Retina and again no luck. This worked fine under iOS 8, but no luck at all under iOS 9. I see a lot of complaints on the web about this issue, so hopefully Apple will get the issue resolved. I had cellular connectivity to the internet via my iPhone 6+, but I really hate surfing on such a little device. I should have been able to quickly and easily connect via hotspot to my computer.
