Did you check with Politics & Prose in DC (B&M bookstore) to see what they currently stock for Kobo readers? As I said earlier they've normally carried them in the past.

The only other readers you're likely to find in a B&M store is a Nook, which you said you didn't want.


Kobo also has a store finder that might give you more B&M indie stores near you that you can check with..
