i've not read any of the authors you've mentioned here but they made me remember a series of dutch mysteries that i remember liking, although i read them years ago. luckily i found one of my old paperbacks so i could remember the author's name : Janwillem van de Wetering. i read quite a few of the Grijpstra and de Gier mysteries set in amsterdam. i read them in french but they seem to have been translated into english as well, and they're also from the 70's (okay, they're not swedish).
