I really like the Sjöwall/Wahlöö books. K Arne Blom I have missed. If you like Sjöwall/Wahlöö you will probably like Roslund/Hellstrom. The first two books seems to be available in English (The Beast, The Vault/Box 21) and they are good. And the third book was even better.

More recently, I have been reading Karin Alvtegen and Karin Fossum with interest. Helene Tursten does a good police procedural. And Ake Edwardson is interesting, but a bit bloody for my taste.
I read a couple of Åke Edwardson's book but got bored by them. Karin Fossum is really good. The Karin Alvtegen books I have read have really been good but they also have kind of depressing subject matter.

I can also recommend Johan Theorin. I recently read his first book Echoes from the Dead and it was very good. The next book is said to be better.

Two other favorites are Arne Dahl and Håkan Nesser.
