It's not really allowed and i don't do it anymore (I did it years ago) but most people get away with it if they are quick and don't linger in the 'wrong' site

While it does work, it's bad advice.
I did this only once to buy two books at only 20% of the US price, did not linger in the UK store, but still got a very polite but definite e-mail with the request to prove that I either *was* in the UK at the time of purchase, and if not, to refrain doing this sort of thing again.
