Thank you for the offer. I could test that myself by unregistering one of my Fires and seeing if I can access the system without an account so please don't go to any trouble on my behalf.

I am going to only shop with Amazon for ebooks going forward to at least keep my account open. I may well sell at least the two HDXs I haven't decided yet, especially as we will probably not renew Prime next year.

My emotions right now are too unstable to make proper decisions. We did write to Jeff on Tuesday on a read receipt but so far it appears no one has opened our email.
