Something else to clarify ... In post #1 you specifically mention having used calibre to convert to kepub. Did you also use calibre to send-to-device the kepubs to the Kobo? or did you just drag-drop them using the op.sys? If the latter then the books would be named incorrectly, i.e. mybook.kepub when it needs to be mybook.kepub.epub
