I will say I'm happy with my Moto E ($60.00) and it doesn't even have a flash for the camera. Two features I would like to have though are the fingerprint reader and an NFC chip. I do think paying by phone will become a bigger and bigger thing.
On a side note, I've learned that I much prefer pure Android to the skinned versions. Samsung makes fine hardware, but TouchWiz just looks ugly to me. When I do upgrade my phone, I could see purchasing the Nexus 5X just for that.
