Bad syncing is the reason I abandoned iBooks. I think it works fine if you're online all the time, but if you read while offline it doesn't. In the end, I abandoned syncing altogether, because it doesn't work in Marvin either (although Marvin only sends me back a few pages, not to the beginning of the book as iBooks does). I just have different books going on different devices.
Ahhh I see. Yeah, my phone is always connected one way or the other, and my ipads are rarely out of the house and therefore never off my wifi. Usually, if I take them anywhere, its not to be reading. My phone is and always will be my main reading app. I sometimes read on the Air2, and now we have split screen and friends send imessages, I don't actually have to leave the screen to answer. Book in half the screen and messages in the other half.
