ivanm: The way I handle what you are doing is with the Reading List plugin. With this you can create various types of lists including one that syncs to a device. This can happen automatically when the device is connected. For me, the list will also clear itself after the sync. That way, when I add a book to calibre or modify a book, I add it to this list. On the next connection, everything in the list is sent to the device.
