The first book in the series is still my favorite. This one had the usual elements, but I just didn't care for either the hero or heroine. And while the uber-alpha attitude of "my woman is great, other women are a dime a dozen" hasn't bothered me as much in past stories it really got on my nerves in this one. I probably should have set it aside and finished it at another time. I may have liked it a bit more.

I would still recomend the series. Out of seven books and a novella, this is the only one besides the novella that didn't work for me. It wouldn't say it's a bad story, just one I didn't connect with.
