Yes. It is quite a committment, especially as the pace of the first book is slow at the start, but it does pick up, and I believe it's worth the committment
Personally, I'd read (or re-read if you've already read it) Cryptonomicon
after the Baroque trilogy. It may have been written first, but the timelines in it are after those in the Baroque Trilogy, and some of the events, people and geography are related to them.
