I hope he doesn't. Tags are much more flexible... or Kovid would have to add all types of taxonomy fields. Have the generic "tag" field provides for the most flexibility.

As you said, there is no reason you can have genre tags, read tag, onreader tag, etc. Since as you say you can use multiple tags for each book.
