Love, Like Ghosts by Ally Blue is a spin-off novel in her Bay City Paranormal Investigations series of contemporary psychic/ghost-haunting-oriented mysteries with strong m/m romantic elements, this installment introducing a next-generation of sleuthing relatives of the original series case-solving partner couple, free courtesy of publisher Samhain.
This has a steamy 4 out of 5 flames on the heat index over at ARE, which in previous experience with other similar freebies has generally provided stories with a good deal of important plot development to go with the sexyfuntimes.
Also, we've previously received the 1st in the original Bay City series a long time ago,
Oleander House, in case you think you might want to start there to get a feel for the background.
Currently free @

And this has been the (late!) selected 3rd (non-repeat) free book thread of the day.
Because IIRC I might have read a short story or other giveaway from this author which I liked, so it's nice to see more free stuff officially offered to try out.
And even if it wasn't her, then it's still nice for anyone who enjoyed the original 1st-in-series freebie to get a full follow-up novel in a series they might have really liked, as well as something which gives a bit more variety with more "classic" paranormal psychics and spooky hauntings than than the more popular witches, werewolves, and vampires which now dominate and comprise most of our offerings in the subsubgenre.
Enjoy!
Description
Truth. Lies. A century-old mystery. What a tangled web…
At age eleven, Adrian Broussard accidentally used his mind to open a portal to another dimension. Now, ten years later, he’s successfully harnessed his strong psychokinetic abilities. In the process, he’s learned the lessons which have become the guiding principles of his life. Absolute truth. Absolute control. Always.
Sticking to his personal code of ethics has never been a problem, until two chance meetings—one with a hundred-year-old ghost, one with a handsome, very-much-alive man—turn his orderly existence upside down.
Having grown up in a family of paranormal investigators, Adrian is intrigued by the spirit of Lyndon Groome and determined to solve the mystery of his death. Greg Woodhall, however, affects Adrian in unpredictable ways. Not only does his every touch challenge Adrian’s hard-won control over his abilities, his company quickly becomes a light in Adrian’s lonely life.
As the mystery surrounding Lyndon’s death turns sinister, Adrian’s relationship with Greg deepens into something serious. Something Adrian wants to keep. But intimacy isn’t as easy as honesty, and when the heart’s involved, the line between right and wrong can blur.
Product Warnings: This book contains a gory ghost, a haunted castle, nerdy college parties and gay sex enhanced by psychic powers.
