I am also having this problem, I've checked the ASIN, often having to manually input it. I have used the quality check plugin to fix ASIN, I've then recoverted the files to .mobi and tried converting them to AWZ3, but I still cannot update my goodreads.
Could this have anything to do with the fact I'm from the UK? I only found the goodreads button on my kindle today (I had to deregister and reregister for it to appear)
