Anyway, today's free ebook is Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Security Cookbook. Yeah, it's not for everybody. But if you're the kind of person who could use this book, you'll save $30 on it today. Here's a link to the ebook's giveaway page. You've got just over 18 hours from the time of this post to claim it. Oh, all of Packt's books, as far as I know, have something to do with computers, mostly the programming and use of software thereof.
The webpage that I linked to, above, also shows the past freebies and a calendar for the upcoming daily freebies (you might need to scroll down a little way). They don't uncover each day's offering until they're ready to start the day's promotion, so you'll have to go to the webpage each day to see if they've got something that you're interested in.
Packt Publishing's books are almost always way too esoteric for me. But, if I have the time and can remember, I'll try to post each day's new free ebook, for you. If you don't want to depend on me, well, you've got the link to the webpage where you can check yourself. Can we make that packt . . . I mean, pact . . . together?

They've actually been doing the free book every day for at least 4 months now. Most of them are at least 2-3 years old and many of them are discussing specific versions of applications, tools and platforms that are probably way out of date.
