Contrary to what is commonly thought, jumping the shark doesn't mean that something is over. It means that something has happened that will cause something to never be the same. The phrase comes come an episode of "Happy Days" where Fonzie literally jumps over a shark on water skies, and although the show continued for a while afterward, it was never the same. This thread has jumped the shark many times since it has changed directions so many times. The only thing that doesn't seem to change is that people keep trying to take and keep the win.
