I wouldn't recommend it just based on the loudness and again as it's already been pointed out only some of the earpieces support general media audio.
Also be careful of iPods as I used to have a Touch 3rd gen and I know it didn't work right with almost any type of bluetooth with button controls although generally audio would play.

I have a
Plantronics M25 (came with my work phone

) and as a speaker it works pretty good. My problem is that it doesn't stay in my ear, and as it moves away, I can't hear it. It works great if I'm sitting at my desk, but terrible when I'm walking. I've been trying to find a different one, but it's hard to know what to look for in the description when my main criteria is "does not fall out of my ear when I'm walking or smiling."
I bought a set of
JAM Transit Mini Wireless Sport Earbuds (from Target), and *those* stay in my ears. However, after the third or fourth time, they only work for a very short time before they shut off. The walk between my car and my desk at work is 8 - 11 minutes (depending how far out in the parking lot I am) and they seem to only last about two minutes or so.
Right now, I'm using regular corded
Sony earbuds (from Kohls) because they are reliable.
I'm following this thread, because I would really like to just have a one ear bluetooth headset, but I don't know how to make sure it will stay in my ear before I buy it. I tend to buy my earbuds because I need them Right Now and it might be I'm just shopping in all the wrong places.
