Whitcomb, Edgar: Escape from Corregidor, v1, 1 Jan 2009

This is a first person account of aviator Edgar Whitcomb's fleeing from the Japanese invasion of the Philippines in World War II, his capture, escape, recapture, then eventual repatriation to the United States.

Mr. Whitcomb lived to become an attorney and governor in Indiana in the 1970s and is still alive at 91 years of age. Because this is so, this work is in copyright everywhere but the United States, where copyright was not renewed.
