I've got the latest firmware version on my Kobo Aura (3.17.3), and when I upload books from Calibre it tells me that this version isn't supported, followed by some suggestions for how to go ahead anyway provided that I don't mind resetting the device if something goes wrong.

What's involved with updating Calibre to support new versions of reader firmware and databases? Is it anything that users can help with (without, that is, being expert coders)?
