Second problem: can one change the configuration of the buttons? I really want the forward button to be on the left side as I am lefthanded and it is always a pain trying to reach the other side. You can definetly do that by changing the keymap file. Just look how to change keymappings in android. I fear you need the device to be rooted - otherwise you do not get write access to the keymap file.
