My neighbor is insisting on reimbursing me for the printer table. I'm not going to put in the cost of the wood, because I'm making it from scrap lumber left over from the other projects.
But, you are right, it does add up after a while. If I sat back and added up all the stuff for the parson's table ... $9.00 for each leg, so that's $36, $35 for the birch plywood in the table top, brings us to $71, then $45 for the trim, makes it $116, and then about $16 worth of paint, and heavy duty leg braces were about $12. So, $144 for that table.
Now, granted, it's a solid wood table and (I think) sturdily made. I suppose I saved about $100 over buying something like it at an unfinished furniture store.
