They are slightly overpriced compared to the cheaper Asus tablets right on Amazon.
Price might be fair if you value some of the added services.
The $50 model is about right as is the kid version of it.

There are no idications they are dropping the HDXs so for now I'm assuming these are filling out the lineup.

The real standouts are the streamers.
Alexa on the Fire TV at $99 will keep that line rolling merrily along.
