Kobo retailers do tend to refer you straight to Kobo, at least if Chapters Indigo is typical.
The OP really lost me with his defamation threat. And his "how dare you call me a liar" response to Meera. And his failure to respond to the thread as to whether he has contacted the Customer Service Rep who reached out to him. I never thought I would see the day I was defending Kobo customer service, but they have clearly been more than reasonable here.
