As per post #66 the trick is still present in the firmware JARs for fw5.6.5 (I just checked), so I am guessing you did something wrong.

Did you have this working before?

Do you use Windows, and if so did you check to make sure Windows is not hiding a .txt file extension from you?
Did you restart your Kindle after adding the file?
