Next, I'm planning to resolve the issue of TTS and powerd.

Please note that if you follow my method of getting 3.4.2 straight from 2.5.8 (without going through hassle of 2.5.8 -> 3.2.1 -> 3.3 -> 3.4 -> 3.4.2), the power switch doesn't work (yet!), so when it goes to sleep, I need to issue:
lipc-set-prop com.lab126.powerd wakeUp 1

I'll resolve it soon.
